My New Motto

This is my new motto. I mentioned it in one of the last sentences of yesterday's post, and I am restating it today because of its reality.

The more I study and learn, the more I discover how little I really know.

But on the positive side...I refuse to let this discourage me. I refuse to become complacent. I refuse to let my mind become stagnant.

Excuses Poem

Excuses!

Excuses! Excuses everywhere.
In the halls and in the air.
I have to go. I cannot wait.
I'll be tardy. I'll be late.
But that's not fair, I just forgot.
I dropped it in the parking lot.
We were not home.
My folks were gone.
The darned assignment was too long.
I tried, but just don't understand.
It's hard to write, I broke my hand.
My dog, he died. The cat got sick,
My homework's floating in the 'crick.'
It's still at home, it's on my desk.
My brother's such a pesky pesk.
I lost my book. My locker's jammed.
Big test today.
My schedule's crammed.
I stubbed my toe. I broke a nail.
Excuse or not, that's tough, you fail.
